OFFICIAL BIO FOR PANNEY WEI, C.Ht.
Panney Wei is an award-winning Motivational Speaker and Certified Hypnotherapist, specializing in the power of the mind to reach their potential and empowering people to achieve their personal and professional dreams. Her ancestry includes the one of China’s greatest heroes and world leaders who was a member of the Qing dynasty imperial court, General Tso Tsung-tang, immortalized in pop culture by the popular dish, General Tso’s chicken, and her maternal grandfather, Taiwan Senator Albert Liu who served Taiwan for over 30 years. Panney continues their legacy of service to her community as a National Senior Advisor for the National Association of Asian American Professionals in which she launched the national women’s leadership program, Women in NAAAP NAAAP recognized by Forbes Women, a board member for Kollaboration, empowering artists in the media, a member of the PBS SoCal API Community Council, the organizing committee for the Asian Pacific Filmmakers Experience at Sundance, and on the Advisory Board for the National Asian Artist Project led by Tony award winning Baayork Lee. A lifelong activist, she has also served the Democratic party as the State Secretary for the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus of the CA Democratic Party for five terms working to mobilize and train the next generation of Asian Pacific and Democratic leaders and was designated as a Goodwill Ambassador for California by former CA Secretary of State March Fong Eu. She is the CEO of See the Way Consulting, empowering individuals especially women to unleash their human potential through hypnotherapy, coaching, keynotes and workshops. Panney is the recipient of the Silver Award for the LA Business Journals Asian Business Awards, a nominee for the Women in Business Awards every year since 2011, the 2011 and 2012 Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business award from the Asian American Business Development Center, “100 Passionate People in Taiwanese America'' by Taiwaneseamerica.org, and the 2014 NAAMBA (now ASCEND) Top 40 Global Emerging Leaders Award.  Panney has appeared on countless radio shows nationwide and has worked with OWN, Discovery, NBC, CBS among others, and authored or featured in such publications as Pho for Life, Enchant, Audrey, Jade, Woman International, and Hydrogen, and was the former Feature Editor for ASIAM.

Ms. Wei is also a producer, having  produced special events for many community organizations including the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, The Producers Guild of America, and the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts. She also produced the rock opera, Repo! The Genetic Opera where she originated the role of Heather/Amber Sweet that eventually became a film for Lionsgate, and was part of the team that produced the documentary film, Linsanity about NBA basketball player, Jeremy Lin. Panney has always been passionate about making a difference and a positive impact on culture and community and supporting businesses that are making a difference or shaping culture in the world. She holds business interest in the companies, Momofuku Global Restaurant group with Momofuku/Founder Chef David Chang, Chef Ayesha Curry, Impossible Foods. She nows hosts her weekly podcast "See the Way with Panney Wei", on ITunes and everywhere you get podcasts featuring life lessons and wisdom from herself and top thought leaders and luminaries in various fields. She is also launching a new podcast with her co-hosts, Wendy Wu and Natasha Ranchigoda, called "Between Two Dumplings and Some Tea" dropping soon! Her previous radio show/podcast, “Positive Changes with Panney Wei '' on KCAA 1050 AM, NBC News radio, and Contact Talk Radio reached over a million listeners worldwide.
